Chicken laying thin eggs and laying outside of coop

Our leghorn has been laying funny looking thin eggs and has started laying outside of the coop or from her perch overnight. Anybody had this happen or seen eggs like my pic?

Are you feeding them layer feed? She may not be getting enough calcium.

Yes we're feeding layer but have recently added a separate container of crushed egg shells

How long has she been laying?
Is not using the nest a new behavior?

She has been laying since about September if I'm remembering correctly and yes this is very new behavior. Up to now she has always laid in the nesting box.

The egg shells might take awhile to have an effect...crushed oyster shells are a better source of calcium tho, I mix both.

Any changes in the coop?
New birds?
Bad weather confining them to coop?
Are you feeding them only layer.... or other foods too?

How many birds.... how big is coop(feet by feet)....etc.

More info will help folks help you find a solution.

There have been no changes to coop and no new birds. The weather in tx has been cold then warm off and on but nothing keeping them in the coop. Their primary food source is layer but they are out all day and can forage. We occasionally give them fruit and veggie scraps if we have them and they love pecans.
We have 5 birds in a 5ft x 5ft coop with a 5ft x 10ft run. (They are only confined to coop and run if we are out of town which isn't often)

All the bird the same age and laying in the nests but her?
Is she low bird...maybe being bullied away from nests?

Could just be a glitch and will resolve within a few days......
.......or you could lock them in the coop until noon or so for a few days re-establish the nest in coop habit.

I'm hoping its a glitch myself but we might try keeping them in the coop to reset. She isn't the lowest in pecking order but she's not at the top either. We'll keep an eye on her. I do notice that she is often left on a roost bar alone while the other 4 crowd onto one and she's in the nesting box early morning but doesn't lay there. Maybe she has started sleeping there to keep warm and isn't seeing it as a place to lay anymore.....

Sometimes all you can do is watch closely and wait it out..
Have you examined her for lice or mites?
Maybe she's getting ready to have herself a little juvenile molt...they can lay funky going into and/or coming out of a molt.
