Hi!

We have 3 free range chickens and a cock .

Last thursday we were checking to see if they all had gone back to the hen house. 1 was missing.

We found her behind the hen house laying in the bush, totally lethargic. Not reacting really to touch or anything for that matter. Her crop was full and hard, we gave her teaspoon of oil and some water to help digest.

Next day her crop was still feeling full but not as hard. Decided to help her purge after a brief discussion with someone whose had a chickens for a bit longer in case something was stuck.

Foul smelling greenn liquid came out but nothing solid. She started drinking a lot after vomiting.

She started to get a little bit more energy as in if o thursday she was at 5% now she was ar 10-15%

Kept checking in from time to time and she wasn't really moving or doing anything except for the occasional sip of water. She did eat a couple of pellets of food but a not really interested in it.

She has been staying that way since. Not really moving about, drinking but not really eating.

On thursday the waddle was still red but a bit dry. Today it looked like in the picture.

The hen house has a hemp fiber housing. All others are fine and dandy. Didnt find any injuries on her. They have been eating organic pellets, some oats and oatmeal, rice veggie leftovers, some seeds and nuts.

Her poo has been runny and getting stuck in the rail feathers.

Everyone else in the flock seems fine.

Any ideas wh

Thanks for the replies so far., ill try the coconut oil and massaging for now.

The waddle looks really unhealthy. Could that also be a sour crop symptom?
