One of my three chickens has looked unwell for the last 2 days. She is normally very active, inquisitive and quite greedy. She is a bluebell and I have had her for just over 3 months, she is about 9 months old. So I am quite new to chicken keeping.
Bella looking sleepy.

Yesterday morning she did not want to come out of the coop and looked so sleepy, kept shutting her eyes. She eventually came out and now just sits in the bushes in the garden – looking sleepy and not eating anything. If I put food in front of her – she looks at it, sometimes pecks a bit but won’t eat it. She is the same today. I have seen her have some water & she is still laying eggs. A few days ago she laid 2 eggs in 1 day – a normal one and a soft shell one, they have been ok since. But her poo is very odd, whitish/yellow and mucus and what looks like intestinal lining. See pics

I checked her crop as it looks like it is full, but I think that just maybe due to the way she keeps sitting. It feels ok, I am not an expert at this, so I felt one of the other chickens to compare – seems ok. Haven’t checked that today though. The only time she is lively is when I try to pick her up – she moves off quickly.
I have looked in lots of books, read lot of forums, but still not really sure what is could be. So any advice would be really appreciated
Thank you. Julie

I am pleased to say she is more lively today, eating a little, walking around with the others and not sleeping. Not back to her full self yet, but I think she is on the mend!
