Chicken lice!!!! Please help!!

Location does help :) From what I understand the gnats are pretty rough this year. I think every year there are deaths, but some years worse than others I suppose. Either way, sad news for the backyard keeper. I don't know if that's what is biting/swarming @Ms Clucky but my understanding is the gnats like to bit anything.

They are little round bugs that don't have wings.

I think they are mites. Looked them up on Google. I am going to get some D Earth powder tomorrow. Hopefully that will work. Thank you all for the suggestions.

DE won't work, get some Permethrin, spray or powder.
It's approved for use on poultry.
Just get some Ivermectin.
Is NOT approved for use on poultry...but I guess many don't mind eating it.

DE is not effective against infestations, go to Tractor Supply and get a Permethrin based poultry spray or dust. Clean out your coop, treat the roosts/nesting boxes, walls, etc. plus treat all your chickens. Repeat in 7 day intervals.
