Can anyone tell me what I can spray, or what I can do. to rid my nursery coop of Chicken Lice? I need to get it done soon. I have a broody hen that needs to go in there. And I just discovered it has lice kinda bad.

I'm sorry - I've never actually experienced lice - I gave advice based on my understanding of how DE works only. Whether it would work on the walls would depend on the material from which the walls are made. The walls of my coop are OSB and as such, I would try to work the DE into them if the need arose. But from a slicker surface, that would be harder to do.

This is a small coop I bought from a friend, and decided to use it as a nursery after we built a new coop. One hen has already raised young in there and another has gone broody so I will put her and her nest in there after I do what I can to rid it off the lice I discovered the hard way today. They got on me as i checked out the coop. The walls are rough, so we'll see what we can do. with the DE

I used Sevin Dust and rubbed down all the birds then spread liberally around run, coop, and yard. I haven't had a problem since.
