Chicken LORE Project - Find & Submit Local Chicken Laws & Ordinances

Here's what I have for Livingston Parish in Louisiana (link below). It does not appear that there are any restrictions on chickens except that they cannot be "at large". I didn't see Livingston/Denham Springs in the BYC database but I did see two other near by towns. Anyway, thought I'd add this one.

ETA: You have to click on "Animals" in the index on the left of the screen, it is Chapter 18. I did copy the link while actually on the page for livestock and fowl but I guess it only picks up to this point.

Hmmm . . . maybe I should move to Loveland!

Sure come on over to Loveland. Lots of houses for sale and some with 1/4 acre or more.

We are in Gilbert Az, and they seem to have selective regulations concerning who can keep chickens within Gilbert. we've been told we ned to have a letter designator "P" which I assume might mean permitted, next to our map location. We were informed by the city that we do not. I don't want to give up and would appreciate any advice on how to fight to change or get some sort of waiver maybe. I'm down but not out just yet...

Anything you might have would be greatly appreciated

After looking at about 10 city ordinances that allow chickens, its crazy how some cities require you to have 20,000 sq ft. How in this day in age can someone have 20,000 sq ft?
I am trying to modify my city's ordinance to allow us to have chickens. I think most people have a yard but not a lot thats 20,000 sq ft.
Some people might have a small yard to toss a football around or like new construction homes have a smaller yard to have a small bbq. Lot of the regulations require you to have a coop 20 ft away from the fence, or 50 ft away from your home.

If everyone follows those kind of rules I think 95% of people on this board would have to get rid of their chickens.

Chickens are NOT allowed in the town of Orange Park, Florida. The actual town of Orange Park is actually pretty small, and the area you think may allow it could actually not be part of the town. If you are outside the town of Orange Park, you would follow county zoning. http://www.claycountygov.com/Departments/Planning_Zoning/Zoning/Districts/Zoning_Districts.htm
Pretty much the only zones that allow chickens are those with "A" as the first letter (ie: AR, etc.)
Aviculture IS permitted BUT only as defined by the zoning documents: exotic birds which exclude poultry :(
