Chicken Mama to Be... Looking for insight

Thanks for responding. It's always good to hear about others experiences....and yes, everyone has their own way or solutions that have worked for them, but even after years, even decades of beekeeping no one person has the answers to all. It is ever-changing in the bee world, but they are such fascinating creatures....just like chickens.

I have heard that Honey B Healthy can entice outsiders as well, especially in certain months, so that should be a consideration too. I use it on my hives, but only every now and then.
I also have the top feeders, as those entrance feeders seem no good from my experience with them.

I am interested in your anti-robbing entryways...I have heard of them, but unsure as to how they work. If you have any more info or links, please share here or through PM/email...whatever.

Also, if you haven't been to HiveTracks site, you might wanna check it out. You can keep track of your hive data for free.

Hey sagenhoney, so sorry, I didn't see this until now.

I made my robbing screens from the bee package materials and found the info here.
Since putting them in place, I have not seen any robbing activity and I will leave them on until the hives are stronger. Yeah, I do know about the possible issue with essential oils, but I felt the colony really needed it. They were delayed and I didn't install until Mid-May.
