Oh she’s pretty!! Im hoping some poofy head company for my remaining black crested Polish makes her happier.

Tho I will admit I was more wanting a mottled houdan over a cookies and cream. I don’t like heavily feathered feet and I know the cookies and cream can get them.

Our brown Leghorns from Cackle have been very nice birds, good layers (now molting, never mind) and definitely not nuts!
And last month only one bantam EE survived hatching, so we drove to the nearest farm store that had bantam chicks and got six porcelain booted bantams as company. everyone doing great, BUT four (or five!) cockerels in the group. Anyone need cute Belgian booted bantam cockerels?!?

I knew chicken math was going to get me, and I tried to plan my new coop to account for that, and calculating chickens, ages, etc. It may still get me.

I swore that since I got 6 this fall (I got them 2 days ago) that I would be good and not need to get any until '27. I am looking at a few breeds to get "just 2 or 3" next spring.
