That’s actually a good idea. I’d have to double check but I think my truck actually has a built in inverter with a plug in the armrest.Hey, sounds like you’re yet another awesome person who is as addicted to buying chicks as I am!
I have never had chicks shipped, as I would be heartbroken if something happened to them.
I live an hour and a half drive from Rural King, and even that, causes heat-related issues.
Finally got this set up, and it works great!

I have an inverter that plugs into the cigarette lighter, and then I just run the cord back.
For travel, I offer very wet mash for feed and water. (Don’t give them an actual waterer unless you’re stopped. It makes a miserable reck for them.)
They spend most of the drive hanging out under the heat plate, but hey, at least they’ve got it!
Haven’t lost one to chilling since!
Maybe there will be a road trip in my future.
