Came home from dinner tonight and found Buttercup laying on her side nearly dead in the yard. We brought her in and got some electrolytes and sugar water into her and cooled her down. She perked up slightly, so I guess we'll see if she makes it overnight. :(

She made it through the night. She was more alert this morning but still not able to stand, though she did try. We think she ate a scorpion and it stung her in the process, so I gave her some benadryl and we've been keeping her hydrated with a syringe and pedialyte. Will see how she progresses through the day, but I'm hopeful that since she survived overnight the worst of it is behind us.

Buttercup continues to improve. This morning she was up and alert, and the ate and drank without prompting as soon as I offered food and water. I think as long as she's moving well and eating/drinking, she can go back out to the flock later today or tomorrow.

Olive, who's making great progress after her adoption last month. Her feathers are all coming back in slowly, and she's laying 5 eggs a week on average. Seems very happy and comfortable with everyone.
