Chicken math prevailed!

Sorry about your dogs, it's tough. I have a 16+ year old that I am watching fade, my little buddy. We just got pups for the first time from him in December, still have three. It's kinda like adopting out grandchildren. We won't even post them, we wait for someone to talk about how much they love, spoil and / or miss theirs. Then we offer. If you weren't so far, I'd be asking you. Boss is very much the same, she'll complain ten minutes before she's sneaking a mutt up on the bed. :) We have 6 dogs, a cat that I had to corner to give food last winter, that now follows me like a dog when feeding the Turkeys, Ducks, Goose, Chickens, and Rabbits. LOL Yeh Chicken/Animal Math Plus a generational span of mocking birds that demand food, at the window in winter. Sleep in, nope, not allowed, October through February.

Thank you! I genuinely appreciate that! Awh bless y'all's hearts! Goodness!! All the animals!!! We have a stray outside that I feed and water daily. I've been trying to get her to trust me. She's at least blind in one eye and possibly blind in the other. So super skinny and I can't put weight on her no matter how much I feed her. I just want to catch her and take her to the vet to get checked out and then find her a furever family. Hey, the animals know where to come to be taken care of!

That's so awesome, I'd could imagine they do know. You could sneak her some chopped up pumpkin seeds in her food? Might help. I got a trick, I don't even think the dog whisperer knows. Chocolate, not for the dog, but in your mouth when trying to get a dog to warm up to you. I think it has something to do with endorphins and all being well with the world with you got a Hershey Bar. Or it might be "You smell like you're eating well, can I tag along?" It'll change their tone. I learned it accidentally the hard way, a big Kujo looking thing had me cornered back when I did construction. Have tried it a few times since and it works.
How many of them peepers did ya bring home?

The saddest part is that I'm great at math... I just happen to also be great at chicken math.

Best of BOTH worlds!!! I'm good at useful math. Measurements, fractions, percentages, finances. I leave the algebra and geometry up to the Chicken Man who uses it and then some in daily work life. Like, knowing how to find the "R" value of a house and how many tons a unit needs to be to adequately cool x amount of square footage. Blah. My eyes glaze over, I'm sure, when he starts getting technical about work. :duc

Heyyyyy, I'll have to try that!! Both pumpkin seeds and the chocolate thing with dogs. She's been getting both wet and dry food plus table scraps in hopes that she'll pack on the pounds. I didn't want her to be stuck out in this Summer heat but she hisses if you get close. Or she used to. Now she will let you get fairly close and talks to you without hissing between her meows and her tails stands up to greet you. We're getting closer. Lol. 6!! Posted pictures above. I still technically have room for 6 more but I'm going to calm myself now..... unless something I just can't live without until Spring comes in before Chick Days are over.
