You sound like me!! They had a bunch marked down but were out of the ones I wanted so I got three that are *actually* Barred Rocks (Not Marans like I'm pretty positive my others are) and three Leghorns for right at $10 total! I'm fighting the urge to go back and get any more before another shipment comes in. I have a couple breeds in mind that I would really like to have but haven't seen any yet this year. TSC is less than a mile from my house.

Less than a mile would be very hard lol. TSC is actually about 30 miles so I usually go to Rural King, 23 miles. The problem is they have chicks year round!

Oh no!!!! What a predicament! All year!!!!! I'd just move in... live there.. this is my home now. Yes.... I want to go every day... I feel like they're already real sick of me.. but I mean, come on... does this look like a Barred Rock to you??? They don't like being told they're wrong....

I started out with 6 chicks. That didn't last long. Now after hatching I can have as many as around 500 birds.

That looks nothing like a barred rock.... I'm not sure what that is.

Not a Barred Rock. I have had Partridge Rocks but they didn't look like yours either.
