Chicken Math

Mrr...
Chicken math?
Won an Omlet Eglu Cube.
2 legbars, 4 pullets, 1 silkie. Ambien+ebay=hatching eggs=2 incubators
Want a new breed, buy chicks from Cackle. Have to get x amount, but the rare are on sale. Plus hatching eggs (again, or still). 12 adults, 23 chicks, 7 chicks, eggs still in the incubator...

We have chickens. That's what's relevant.
I am in process of getting extra kennel panels which equals more room! :wee

Okay, i seriously have a different kind of chicken math problem, i have an architectual chicken math problem.
I started with three hens. I housed the three hens in a coop that was in a 3x2m run, ie the Main Hoose. That didn't seem big enough so I added a chicken tunnel to the West Wing Eggstention. But that didn't provide enough protection from the Scottish weather so I added what I call the Summer Pavillion (in that it provides shelter from wind and rain). And now I have added a further 3x2m run - the Pent Hoose.

And I still just have three hens, but in terms of chicken runs, they are the most spoilt hens ever.

I should of consulted with you before building my coop, I want it bigger already and it's not 100% completed.

Your naming is superb.
Please name my architecture!

Planned on 2 or 3 bantams since we have such a small coop right now, had plans to get more once we convert our shed into a big coop.
Got 2 silkies & a sebright, all 3 months old...1 silkie died within a week: 2.

Breeder offered to replace silkie with a day old silkie chick, planned on buying a second chick so it wouldn't be lonely...breeder last minute offered an ayam cemani to go with the silkie chick. Went to feed store to pick up these two chicks: ended up with 4 (only 1 bantam).

Grand total now: 6... :clap
Working very fast to get our big coop set up by the time the 4 chicks are old enough! lol

I am so tempting to try ducks, but I can't get past all the mess they make!

Lucky for me I have the same issue! Secretly I adore ducks and fear the future if i let myself have even one!

I think of myself as winning at chicken math since i rehomed three pullets. But i like to forget i bought 16 bobwhites on the way home!
