I used to have just 6 chickens, and spend each morning looking at chicken pictures online.

Somehow my chicken math kicks in and I finally end up with 13.

The managing 3 coops and 3 runs. Each morning put out so many feeders, water holders, cleaning poops, oh yeah lot of it, and the egg songs, the fighting for the same nest box, checking of crop, looking at poops, checking of feather, ..etc........ My world is all about chickens, I am sure I just look like a chicken too, might not be as good looking as my chickens. 😄

The morning and the afternoon chicken work is never done.😄

Love chickens to the moon❤️, but I have many times thought to myself that you did this to yourself 😄

It is really not our fault, it it the chicken fault, they exert this magnet of attraction that once a human gets 1 chicken, they must get more. Really it is all the chickens fault.🐔

2019 - 6 birds
2020- added 6
2021- added 26
2022 - added 19
2023, added 15
2025 - added 15
A few more hatched from a broody here and there. In 2022 my high was 76. So 6 to 76 in 4 years. Down to 53, so I, of course, ordered 30 more for this year!🤦‍♀️

That is chicken math for you there, for all of us chicken people😄

I started out with just 6, I am not sure how, what, why and now I have 13. That is a lot as I live in the city area. In my defence I have 5 bantams so 2=1.

I agree on the 2=1! Thankfully I’m I. A more rural area with a right to farm. I get to even keep my Roos.

It is so nice to have a rooster in the flock!
I missed my rooster, I can not have rooster in my area and I had secretly kept one for 7 years, my neighbours were very kind to us.
