This is our Black Jersey Giant with her new brood. Last count we had somewhere around 145. We've lost a couple here and there since the "official count". I figure we are super blessed to be able to handle 145 comfortably, so, why not expand to 200? I'm looking at new coops this week. Don't tell DH!!!!

My daughter & I did not tell him about this broody until the chicks popped out. Man, did we look surprised

Can you tell my wife that? Lol, she doesn't believe that meat birds exist.
I *almost* had her convinced we could process a couple of our extra cockerels, then she started hanging out with them and she likes the nice big juicy one that I have been dying to taste!
