Congrats on the little ones about to greet the world.

Does everyone else go out periodically with a notebook.. "1..2..3..no wait.. Where's.. 4.. No.. I already got that one... OK, so 7 of those.. Plus.. 2.. Or should I count that as 1.. And 1.. Cause its a different color??.. But 1+1 is still 2.. Except now I think I need another?!!??

I found feathers I was sure was going to turn out to be a missing chicken.. But by my math they were all there!!

Oh wow. I NEED a notebook. I've got them all in my head right now and it drives me crazy! Lol!

Every day I do what you just described.

I sent two of my cockerels to fat camp, so they aren't in the main coop anymore. I still walk in there, count and wonder why I'm missing some lol. Better get replacements!
I have three cockerels in a fattening pen.. Dark cornish. I decided not to go with the breed.. Poor quality stock yet large (tall not wide) and aggressive with the ladies.. The main yard is so quiet now!! And the three boys are sulking in the coop and will hardly leave it to be in their own.. Might have to make dumplings!!
