Chicken math

I am not looking forward to dealing with the foot. This is the first case of bumble I have ever had to deal with. The poor girl is 5 years old and has been crippled her whole life. She gets around pretty well just cannot run or jump as well as the others. Her parent birds had poor nutrition that caused a deformity in the leg.

I miss my ducks but then when I had them they had 1/3 of an acre as their pen. I simply will not go to the swap since there may be silver appleyard ducks there. Those and Cayuga are to tempting for me.

I really miss the charcoal colored eggs the Cayuga lay.

When you ordered your Cochins did you request pullets or SR? Hoping your daughter is not horribly upset since losing the little rooster.

I have never lost one yet. None of my chickens are even 1 years old yet.

Thats excellent! I have had a bit of a bad run with my meaties. Lost 9 to various illness or getting their heads stuck. That and 1 disappointing hatch where I lost 5 out of 8 and about 10 others. My number is still way to high. Over 200 until processing day. Still need to sell a few. That number includes ducks, geese and guineas though.

started with 10 a little over 2 years ago... I now have 26 and 15 more coming the 19th. also, ive had about 150 total counting all that ive hatched and rehomed. I have a problem!! also, I don't think I'll be putting the incubator away all winter and spring! Hey, atleast I'm not addicted to gambling :)
