Well, my chicken raising is done, unfortunately. We just talked to a cop and he said it would be a $500 fine if we had chickens here. Oh well, I may be moving soon and I'll be able to raise them then. I appreciate all your help and knowledge. I will be back though!!

Yeah, it stinks!! I might be moving back to Fla though where I have plenty of room for a huge coop. I don't really want to go back there, but I might have to. I will keep you all informed though. Good things do come to those who wait!!

Sorry about you not getting to have chickens. I just don't know why there has to be such crazy laws against what one keeps on ones own property, especially if it is not causing any problems. You'll have to keep that in mind when you move.

i hope you'll be able to get your chickens some day soon! Chicken math is certainly a wonderful thing. Mine works like this: We had 7 hens and I said, "No more chickens." Of course, the 4 new hens that arrived shortly after I said that don't count because they were already fully grown when we got them.
