Yeah so, power is out here. Got my genny running great. Neighbor asks if I can grab a plug from hardware while im in town to get his going. I get to TSC, he calls and says forget plug. I'm looking at sign "we got chicks"...... Needs I say more.
I got 16 babies to raise now. Ha ha ha..... Can anyone see the big sucker sign on my forehead, I'll keep y'all posted on how things go

I was given the maximum of 6 chickens the start of the year because that is the minimum I could have bought from my work. Ended up realizing my work really wasn't going to carry chicks because the county doesn't want us to sell them so I ordered online and decided to get 8 chicks. Was given the okay and put my order in. Waiting impatiently for the 8 chicks to arrive at the end of April I discovered a local Silkie breeder and fell in love with the looks of the silkie breed. Figuring I needed a crash course in chick upbringing I convinced the family to let me get 2 silkies, when I got there I found out the limit I could have for silkies was at least 3 so I picked out three silkie chicks and got a free one in case one didn't make it, that gave me 4 silkies with 8 on order. A few days ago I asked the family if we could get more chicks because the chick breeds I wanted and couldn't buy at the time are being sold local by a breeder and got the go ahead. I am not adding 3 more chicks from another local breeder at the end of April....wait....I still just have 6 chickens right? xD

Also to ad if anyone in MN is selling faverolle's I am so screwed because that is the last chicken on my wish list and next year I want to get blue and lavender orpingtons, a blue, a black, and a partridge silkie, and I want a few other blue lace red wyandotte. >.<

Actually..... Since the silkies are still chicks they don't count and since some or all may be male that means that they would never lay....
-4 + 8 on order = 4
The chicks on order are not there yet so they don't count.
4 - 8 = -4
Some or all may not make it....
-4 + - 8 = -12

Um I think you need to search locally or place an order since you appear to have a serious deficet!!

Not to mention if the Silkies end up being females and going broody. That complicates the math!!!!!

This means TSC needs to get in those bantams so I can have a few end up in my car somehow on a drive home one day. Dang hitchhiker chicks and their magical appearing bodies in a box in my passenger seat. I try to explain to the parents they just show up against my will. It's not my fault those roving gangs of chicks travel in packs of 6 or more to hijack vehicles passing by locations that sell chicks.

I hope they understand and see me for the victim I am to these tiny cute crime lords.
