you can at least understand homeless taking them, they are hungry. In past years I've had a few experiences myself, as have others I know, of having a neighbor coming in when no one was home, to take eggs, vegetables from the garden, and in one incident I had, a dozen bunnies we were raising for meat, and were almost ready to butcher.
