Welcome to BYC! Sorry your chicken is sick. You should treat ASAP with permethrin dust which you can find at most feed stores in the US.

If you don’t have permethrin, you can use Ivermectin Pour-on on the back of her neck along her spine. Permethrin 10 liquid concentrate and permethrin garden dust are found at most feed stores. Where are you located?

One can use ivermectin horse paste or the 1% injectable for cattle too, if really sick I think I would start with just the dust.

Perhaps go to your local feed store and see what products are available, look for one with permetherin as the active ingredient, take a photo of what you buy and let us know and then we can help you out with treatment.

That makes your situation more difficult because Canada doesn't sell these permethrin products, and I don't think you can get carbaryl dust either. Do you have Wal-Mart in Canada?. If so, to there and see what they have for people, like for spraying clothing for tick prevention.
