My chickens are infested! I didn't realize the problem until they jumped to me! I am covered with bites. I went to the doctors several times, and used Kwell to no avail. I know how to treat the chickens and have started that today, but what do I do about them living on me??? Help!
Thank you for any advice you can offer!

Sorry I can't help much, but maybe after they are gone from the chickens you won't have a problem. If you still do I would get more medicine and treat yourself at the same time.

Diatomaecous earth? It's non toxic, and as long as you don't breath it or get it in your eyes, you could dust yourself with it, just like you would do for the chickens~
Good luck!!

Hi, not sure if this is the right place to ask my question. One of my banties has scaley leg mite. I have always treated it with 1 part kerosene and 2 parts linseed oil, but read an article that recomended dusting the house with seven. Is it safe to eat the eggs that are laid on the dust. Thanks. yes you can eat eggs after the chickens dust in the sevin5% for mites and lice
but clean the chicken coop to get rid of the mites and lice

(1 take gallon can and use 1/4 qt of keroseen and 1/2 qt of mineral oil
(2 paint all roost poles and all cracks in wood of building and knot holes as these mites or lice are living behind the boards and comming out at night to suck blood
(3 PM me and will send you a long list of kinds of mites and effects of sevin on eating eggs which is none
