Chicken "mutt" club!!!

Here are the pics of the first 4 as best as I could get. Mom doesn't like cameras very much so I have to be sneaky. Chick 5 and 6 are still drying off under mom. So far, more color variety than I thought I would get, although I know they drastically change as they grow.

Chick 2 (on the left) Chick 1 (on the right)

Chick 3 - hard to see but face has a lot of yellow and a some brown on wing tips, must be a BO mom?

Chick 4 - my lightest chick, she wouldn't let me get a face shot, but it is lighter than the body.

My only full grown Mutt

I LOVE MUTTS!!!!

My blue copper marans X Easter egger Roo and some of his mutt girls. :) the only pure breeds in my flock are two elderly hatchery quality leghorn hens, one white and one brown.

My son with his mutt chick, Scoop. She has some barred Plymouth rock and some easter egger and probably some other stuff lol.

His is Andre, he's so mixed up I don't even know. He's from a white egg so his mama is probably one of last years leghorn X (barred rock X easter egger) crosses.

Roger wilco, possibly the same line as Andre?

This is Tuffy, she survived upside down between a mattress and a wall for 14 hours at a day old! Kids :/ She has some easter egger, some barred rock and probably some marans.

Red, RIR, marans, Easter egger I think.

And my favorite, Maple. She's super calm and her feathers are really soft and her color is to die for! Not red, not buff just soooo pretty!

Sparky and a few of his girls again :)

3 broody hatched mutts are out so far, 5 eggs still to go.

Here are the pics of the newest hatches this morning. 3 are out so far, couldn't pic the cutest pose so there are 3 poses of each chickie doo.

Look at that top knot!

Styling w/ the white eye liner

I'm very nervous about letting a broody try and raise a naked chick.

Yes Rudy and his hatch were incubator hatched and house brooded. He did amazing over winter. I switched out that coat he hated w/ a wool sweater it worked soooo much better. And he had his bunnies and his showgirl lady to help keep him warm.

Here are my ebay hatching egg mutt chicks!! They could be a mix of just about anything, the seller had quite a flock of different breeds. And a little fun with a chick photoshoot. :)

And here they are a few weeks old.
