Chicken "mutt" club!!!

Pics
Strange, my text to the quote is not appearing.........

I love how the top one looks all leggy and the bottom one just a bunch of fluff! Funny!

As far as those red chicks since I can't find the original post right now to quote. We bought 2 at the feed store that look very similar. They were from a group marked Red pullets. Their sign said RIR and I cannot remember the rest, but there were about 5 different breeds listed. I realize that most hatchery birds are mixed breed stock and I am okay with that on these since they are for layers. I will try to go back and check the breeds listed and post it here.
Oops! Forgot to say what this motley crew was was! The top one is Cuckoo Marans X Silver Gray Dorking. The other is CM X Red Sex Link.

I've got a thought on "breeds" :) I work in an animal shelter and people always ask me what "breed" a certain cat is. I tell them "cats don't come in breeds, they come in colors". Maybe we need a cat approach. Instead of a "Domestic Long Hair Orange Tabby" we should have a "naked necked, silkie feathered, silver laced domestic chicken".

These guys look a lot like some of my mutts. Small world lol
The black one looks like my "perma-broody" Matilda and the grey one looks like Matildas' grown up chick named Roadrunner.
They are Auracana/Silkie/Polish crossed as my best guess. They were given to me as a pair so I'm not 100% sure of their lineage, but certainly mutts.
Roadrunner and her mom Matilda. Roadrunner shows up more reddish in this pic but is actually mostly grey.

i got these chicks 2 weeks ago can sumone identify this lil baby is it mutt or what breed

They look like mine did as Babies...

Those were taken in February.
Last week... I believe mine turned out to be RIR mix. There is more pics of them in the first pages of this thread if you want to compare them to yours as they grow. The Roo was the darker chick of the two. They are almost ready to join my flock now. I'm just waiting on some of their coop mates to be ready as well.

Redneck I just saw where you sold your roo. I'm trying to figure out what to do with this guy. He is so sweet, but I already have 3 LF roos. I guess I will see how well he adjust to the flock when I move them. How is your turkey? Mine is getting really big and making turkey calls now. I believe I have a pair. Keeping my fingers crossed.
