Here I am holding my cockerel. He is a JGxSilkie cross and he's sitting down, so he's not at 'full height' in this picture. He's huge compared to my hens.

I got some new photos of my mutt babies. They look different every time I see them as their feathers come in and their true colors begin to show.


The chicks are almost as big as the broody! This has proven a problem when they want to get warm, but a heat lamp in the coop solved that. Here is Dos, an Easter Egger/Production Red(Most likely) cross.


Quatro, an Easter Egger/??? mix.


Uno, who is most likely a pure bantam cochin, but with mixed color parentage.


Dos again. She's my favorite.

Meanwhile, inside the enclosed brooder, Cinco and Seis enjoy a private suite. Cinco is the tall one--he's a bantam cochin/Easter Egger mix, most likely. Seis is the small one. He's a bantam cochin/bantam d'uccle mix.


Tres is an Orpington/EE mix. Our EE roo has been a busy fella!

My 0.02 is cockerels.....the combs look roo-ish to me (although the middle one less so), but who knows, especially with mutts

I would guess cockerel, pullet, cockerel. Just a guess though.
