Nice! I wish I could have an aviary for the parakeets. The weather in NJ is so unpredictable though. ;(
I know for certain I have two males. We recently bought another and he/she is about 3-4 months old. I’m stumped on the gender. Any ideas?
Really cute! I can’t tell.. the cere on it looks white... you’ll have to wait for the color to come in... brown for girl... blue for boy... but you prolly know this already...

Yea, you can def see the blue in those guys! Some of ours are brownish but some are pink .. so that’s why we are stumped.. they have been this way for a long while! One of our first ones that we’ve been having for 5 years started out brown and has just recently turned very blue :idunno.. so we have no clue as to what’s going on there...

One of the males Coby has a different colored cere every day. One day it is bright blue, the next day it is purple. Then magenta. Then blue! I’m so confused!

Forgot to say that my chickens all have flower names. I should have gotten more creative! But I couldn't name them after food. It's kinda morbid.

Did I mention my kids are weird? They also named rabbits Scrambles the Death Dealer and McLovin, and a cat FuzzButt.

Parakeets show gender in the cere, the bony area above the beak that contains the nostrils. Blue is male. Tannish or bone colored (like the beak) is female.

My rabbit is Piter Sputnik Bon-Bon. Many owners=many names. I love flowers names for birds! Millie Fluer translates to ‘Many Flowers’!
