Chicken names!!!

Gizmo! Don’t know why it just sprung to mind...

Ours were generally named by what they looked like as chicks (Yogi coz he looked like a mini bear).

Also love old lady names... we have a Vera and Norman.
How about Edna, Iris, Ethel, Nellie, Maud, Hazel, Edith, Doreen, Dorothy, Carol...?

Pff, me to, Poppy, Buttercup, Daisy, Poppy Jr, and Daisy Jr

unfortunately all of them have passed and I don’t plan on a Poppy Jr Jr 😂
Haha! Great minds think alike!

I have a Poppy, too. And Aster, Bryony, Dandelion, Iris, Zinnia, Jessamine, Magnolia, and Violet. And a rooster named Picotee (he was supposed to be a girl).

I had an order of chicks, all of whom arrived deceased except for one I named Thistle. But she died within a few hours. :(

I'm planning on more chicks come spring for my ever-broody Silkies. I'm thinking Hyacinth, Sweet Pea, Clary, and Laurel.

Me, too! And my birds are all named after flowers (cuz I'm lame that way) but this is fun!
I love the idea of a name theme among a clutch or that years birds. I knew a litter of kittens all named after constellations and a friend who fostered stray dogs and named all the ones she got each year according to a year theme. You say lame, but I appreciate uniformity hahaha.

I'm a big fan of pun names myself. We had HENrietta (turkey hen), SweetPEA (peahen)... I currently have Avary (off Avian) who is a rooster.

We also have Snowflake who is a white roo and Speckles who is a pied roo because we are very very creative. Oh yes, and Tim, after the wizard in Monty Python? IDK SO named him.

And then like 20+ nameless birds.
