CHICKEN NAMES

I was JUST talking to my mother about this. My three year old named his yet-to-arrive chickens.

Two silver spangled hamburgs: "Swiper" and "Polkadot"
One GLW: "Wheelchicken"
One SLW: "Nose"

He's a funny man!

Oh! And my nine year old has declared that the whole crowd of meaties should be called "The Roast Family".

It's always fun to list your chicken's names

Irving (found running loose at a gas station)
Molasses (brown)
Opus (looked like a penguin as a chick)
Bubbles (The 3 orpingtons:)
Beaker
Butters
Marshmallow (littlest of our silver laced wyandotte chicks)
Twinkie (the sweetest chicken we have)

From "Chicken Run", the movie:

Rocky, Ginger, Babs, and Bunty

(I don't have a Fowler, Mac, Edwina, or Mr./Mrs. Tweedy yet, ditto Fetcher or Scratch)

Roo- Huck-a-buck
his 4 ladies...Sister Mary Agnes (her muff and beard look like a habit)
Sparrow
Jane with No last name
Half-Pint (runty little girl)

Bantam Roo- Lord Wellington
his ladies...Mrs. Thistleswait
Amelia
Betty Boop

then we have 25 meaties...only the runt has a name...Little Joe. our cousin, who is 12 and very small in stature (my 9 yr. old towers him) saw that the chicken was small and asked why it was so little. i explained that he was born that way and he was mighty in his own right. he looked at me, smiled and said, "then, i am naming him Little Joe, after me!"
