Chicken neck attack!! Help!

Pics
Good news! Injection went very well last night! I was honestly very nervous haha. Her dark spot appears to be shrink so I think maybe it's some kind of thick scabbing possibly or a blood blister? And!!! Gretchen laid a beautiful egg today! :D

I was thinking that it could be a blood release into the tissues from trauma---looks like it might be! Hopefully it will be absorbed and cause no further issues.
And an EGG!!!!
How much do we love this?? :love

Thank you everyone!! <3

We have only 1 other hen, a chocolate cuckoo Orpington named Mable. I was quite sad thinking we were going to lose Gretchen. :( I know the risk for infection is still quite high with her large lacerations so I'm going to continue the injections, cleaning 2x a day, and neosporin. Hoping she continues to improve. We let her have some social time with her only sister today. Hopefully it keeps her mood up and them bonded. I wouldn't want them to forget each other. Gretchen already has some feather growth back surprisingly (tiny follicles) and her long hackles cover up majority of the lacerations. Mable seemed happy to see her again and didn't notice her wound so there was no pecking during the supervised encounter.

Here is Gretchen's wound this morning before cleaning. The dark spot in the middle is a scab and there are still some Blue Kote staining. It looks like it's getting infected. :hit What do I need to do now? I am cleaning 2x a day, the penicillin injections, and coating in neosporin 2x a day after the cleanings.

It could be a buildup of fluid under the skin, trapped and unable to drain. The fluid might be simply serous fluid or blood---very hard to say what it is. This could account for the firmness you feel. I am not sure about the color of her skin---could be bruising.
I don't know whether the dark area you are seeing is a scab or eschar (dead patch that forms over an ischemic area). That yellow area next to the dark area---is that drainage or is it firm? If it is firm it may be exposed fat.
I would keep doing what you are doing and monitor for now. If there is truly an infection it may be more obvious a bit later.
If you can I would clip the feathers that are hanging in the open wound---they will act as a wick for bacteria.
How is she doing otherwise? Eating, pooping?

When I went out to check on her and clean her, she was walking around and clucking. But I just checked on her again and she's sitting down and her tail is down. :/ She still seems to be alert, looking around, and cooing. I'm going to change her bedding real quick so I can monitor her stools from here on.
