Why won't my chickens sleep in the nest boxes only one likes to sleep In the box the other two sleep around the edges and on top of the boxes and don't lay eggs I think because of that. The only one that sleeps in the boxes lays eggs and I think that's why the other two are not laying eggs

Egglaying is impacted by daylength - 14 hours minimum of daylight for maximum production. All of your hens will be laying soon - welcome to BYC.
 
I don't know, mine suffer from the same thing. They lay, they dont,they lay,they dont. I have thought that maybe it is a vitamin D defficiency. Sorry I am not much help.

yup once i put a light in the coop durning short day light . eggs were flowing, but i didnt know that the first year... so no eggs that winter...
