I love welsummers for their dark reddish speckled eggs, crested cream legbars for big blue eggs, olive eggers for olive to gray eggs, and easter eggers because its a toss up what color they will lay. And you'll need a marans for darker brown and a white egger to contrast with all the others.

If you want colorful eggs, then I recommend to you easter eggers, that lay a variety of colors. If you are wanting colorful chickens, I recommend lavender orpingtons or sage eggers.
