Chicken Newbie

Hello all I'm new to the whole chicken thing but I'm looking forward to not buying eggs anymore.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens. Since you are new, I think the best use of your time will be perusing the "Learning Center," above. It will answer questions you don't even know you have yet.

but I have a problem with one chicken she has swollen eyes but no froth or discharge she seems sow in spirit and I have isolated her, she is eating, I have tried murine eye soother from my medicine cabint and she seems happier with that it must be giving some relief and she eats after I put it in her eyes. but it is not fixing the problem. Any one got any ideas

Hi and welcome to BYC - I'd suggest posting your question on the emergencies / disease / injuries and cures section - i am sure some with help you out.

Yes my son works at a local feed store and he brought home 6 chicks last night. We are goign to start building our coop this weekend. Pretty exciting...
