It doesn't work that way. Even the bantam roosters will try, and as many will attest, are successful with mating a standard hen. It works the other way around too. Each rooster needs his own hens, and you get to do the sorting to some degree, otherwise you're going to have fighting.The new birds are about 10 or 11 months maybe. Red( hes over a year old) is 3 times bigger than the rooster and hen batams. So i didnt think the mating thing would be an issue since the hen is too small for Red to mate with and my other hens are too big for my batam rooster to mate with.
