Chicken not laying eggs.

The new birds are about 10 or 11 months maybe. Red( hes over a year old) is 3 times bigger than the rooster and hen batams. So i didnt think the mating thing would be an issue since the hen is too small for Red to mate with and my other hens are too big for my batam rooster to mate with.
It doesn't work that way. Even the bantam roosters will try, and as many will attest, are successful with mating a standard hen. It works the other way around too. Each rooster needs his own hens, and you get to do the sorting to some degree, otherwise you're going to have fighting.

Yes, they will cross breed. You might be alright if the roosters are content to stick with their own breed, but don't expect any guarantees. Worst comes to worst you could always separate them and add a few bantam hens so your one doesn't get over worked. If they are okay for now I would just keep an eye on them and go from there. You're Young cockerel is becoming a teenage boy and he will probably get very active with the girls. Mine started out very awkward then suddenly he was chasing all the girls every chance he got. So, definitely monitor them closely in case you start to have problems. It all really depends on the individual chickens. If problems do arise the solution is simple more hens and divided territory. Let us know how it goes

Or all the girls will be over mated, unless you separate the males with some girls.
Why do you have 2 males @Newfarmer36 ?
It can really complicate things and be very unpleasnat for the girls and the keeper.

Hope this is the right spot to ask this, but 11 out of my 12 hens are laying regularly, my last one hasn’t laid even her first one yet, I don’t really know why she isn’t, she’s about 7 months old now. Could it maybe be because she came of age during the cold winter months? I know for sure she is a she not just a mute rooster. Any thoughts?
