This PVC feeder last my coop about 5 weeks. 4 standard hens, 5 oeg bantams. Works best with layer crumble. Very little waste.

Well nice work with the PVC pipes indeed with this would it be possible if you motorize the feeding our give power to move the feeders which would feed the animal continuously after a particular time interval.

This is my girl Melody... My other chicken is this size also... They are almost 20 weeks old... Havn't layed yet... I have been feeding them a corn based food supplied to my by the farmer i got them from and I add to that (as treats) some oats, barley, flax, greens, etc). I have been feeding them unlimited 24/7... Are they too fat? Should I limit their food? And if yes, how much should I give them? (Quantity in cups please). I have only 2 chickens right now and I'm new at this. Thx!

I've kept chickens before and fed them bagged feed but we are moving to a place with a little land and I am going to start raising a dual-purpose chicken. I am also going to try growing some of their feed myself. I've been doing research and not finding many answers.. hoping someone here can help! I am starting a worm farm for gardening and I am wondering if I feed my chickens worms on a daily basis would that be enough protein in their diet? If so, how many worms would I need to feed each chicken a day?
