I have a neighbor's hen that visits my yard looking for food. I made the mistake of giving it Pecan's from my backyard tree. It got really aggressive at times later pecking at my feet. I say mistake as I was not getting any eggs.

Then I found a cache of 20 good eggs in my side yard, even better yoke color and height than my pastured raised eggs from the store. What a treat!

but that was about a week ago and the hen has not left any new eggs even though I have resumed feeding her. She now shows up 2-4 times a day and has become less aggressive.

Should I put a egg or two back in the laying site to get her to start leaving new eggs again or ...?

Regards, chickens are fun - I may get some of my own soon.

Welcome to BYC!
That's because "pastured raised eggs from the store" are not actually pastured ;)

Might work to bait the place you want her to lay.
I'd use fake eggs, tho.
Could be she was broody and now is not....
....or her owners retrained her to lay in coop.

Best bet would be to get your own chickens.
