The dog doesn't even have to be aggressive to be dangerous. A few years ago I heard a crash and walked up to the highway and a small Honda had ran into a black lab and killed the driver. The people keeping the dog claimed it was not theirs even though the neighbors said it was since a puppy. (not sure what happened with that)

Several times people have swerved and crashed right here trying to avoid dogs on the highway. It is in particular dangerous at this area because the speed limit goes from 35 to 55 with large dogs running loose.

One of my elderly neighbors fell and broke her hip trying to get back into her house because she was afraid of the large dog next door. It wasn't aggressive but, she was scared of it. (She had to be put in a nursing home because she didn't recover fully enough to get around)

And, yep, it's considered a city. They have a city hall complete with an elected mayor and city council, plus a fire station, a police station, a library, a post office, a city park/pavilion complete with walking trails and a playground, our own elementary school, a big new county EMS building, etc.. Heck, we've got a grocery store (now with gas pumps!), a gas station/convenient store, a bank, a mechanic's garage, a video rental place, a tanning salon, a barber shop, two hair salons, a sit-down restaurant, a pharmacy, a family clinic with a real live doctor, two small bakeries, an antique/knicknack store, a hardware store, a lumber store, a welding shop, a 16,000sqft CNC/machining factory, three smaller tool & die shops, a funeral home.... I'm pretty sure I'm leaving some stuff out, but you get the drift..

Versailles was the same way. Heck, you never saw such an uproar when they built the "new" Kroger!! OMG!! When we were kids you could walk the whole town in 5 minutes - probably still can, downtown anyway - but we still and all the government bells and whistles. Heck, we had a sheriff AND city police!!

I guess you've never seen the injuries and death that occurrs with a frightened bird.

I think that Mr. Harris was at the end of his rope and was tired of caring for injured birds or birds with psychological problems from being harrassed. Birds continue to be frightened after a frightful experience and that causes more injuries when they fly up for no reason but just a sudden noise.

I think Mr. Gapp and all the other leash and dog at large law breakers should get together, purchase an area and fence it off so they can have an off leash dog park, like other cities have, so they can be legal when their dogs need to exercise off leash for whatever reason...​

Note the fawn to the left. She was in a pen ,that dogs couldnt get in. Guess what dogs still killed her chase her until she broke her neck. Dont just have to keep the dogs out of the pen, must keep them off my place. Also found dead peafowl without the dog getting in the pen.

Ya know what i wonder..If your child was outside playing in YOUR yard...and this dog came into your yard and killed or maimed your child..Would you be so quick to say that the dog should not have been shot? Think about it people...

Not to mention that a dog circling the pen will throw a hen "off the lay" for a week or more. I've lost egg sales in the past due to this.

Off leash dog parks are horrific! My friend had an extremely well trained off leash dog in an off leash dog park and a husky attacked her dog when it was minding it's own business. I believe they should outlaw those parks, so many dogs get attacked, it is a mess.

My GSD/wolf has to be on a leash because she starts fights with dogs, she is extremely dominant and I always have to show her I am dominant (not by throwing her to the ground).
