We built our coop and there were a few cracks in the corner that we filled in with that spray can foam and one of the chickens I caught pecking at it. I don't know if it is being eaten or just falling to the floor but there is a small chunk missing. Will this hurt the chickens or do I need to cover it up?

I don't think it's good for them to eat foam. Mine do sometimes when I forget and give them some takeout leftover still in a styrofoam container. Later when I come back, the container was full of holes and missing pieces. I take the container away immediately. They don't seem to get sick after that. They may if they eat a lot of it.

It's just where they could reach and it's not very much so hopefully they will be fine, I need to cut off the access foam, just haven't gotten around to it.
