They're pretty hilarious. They do this little dance with each other where they dart around each other that always fascinates me to watch because you wouldn't think that something shaped the way they are could turn on a dime like that. If you're really interested, I've found this book on Kindle called Peafowls, Peacocks and Peahens by Elliott Lang pretty helpful. I'd say the biggest differences between them in chickens is that they can get ill easier than chickens can and their dietary needs are a little more involved than chickens - if they're not free ranging. Pros and cons, though, just like chickens. They are easier to round up than my flock of bantams!That's very useful information. Thank you! Peafowl sounds very interesting to have around.![]()

These are from last night. The first one is of my rooster, Odysseus (who likes to ride on my shoulder like I'm his trusty steed), and the second one is of my cockerel, Memnoch (who likes to fall asleep in my arms). They are polar opposites and I can't believe Odysseus sired Memnoch most days.
