I searched lots of other threads about this, but didn't really find the answer to what I wonder. I use the "deep bedding" method. Also known as just not cleaning out the coop until spring. I add a 2 or 3" layer of straw one a week or so, to keep clean on top. What I am wondering it this:
Is the poop below the top layer aged enough to put right into the garden. I am sort of using the coop as a compost pile in a way. Ok....let me have it....not good?
