We are leavingl as we go. Had chicken before but they were older and a rogue dog got in my pen and killed all my babies.I just read this whole post on the edge of my seat - or maybe I should say under my seat!

Farm n home here in Iowa. Feeding them baby chick food with grit
They don't need grit if they are only eating chick feed. Don't mix the grit with their feed.
Oh ok. Will stop the grit then. Thank you.
They only need grit if you feed something besides a complete commercially made feed.
