One more question? I've decided to cull her. But as for the rooster someone told me that he may be the carrier and thats how she got it. Is it possible though that she may of just picked this up at the sale and not from him. I'm undecided on what to do with him.???????

Just an update.... The hen is no longer a worry.

I had my neighbor come and get her to cull her.

tryin not to think about it.... but just thought I would ease some peoples minds.... Thanks for all the help

I was hopin the rooster still had a chance...however I went out this morning and noticed he had a slight discharge from his nose and was sneezing a bit. He has gotten some frost bite here in the last week or 2, It looked like his waddles may have been a lil on the infected side. He may have gotten the infection from that but I wasnt taking any chances So I had the neighbor come and cull him also. I bleached all feeders and waterers including the cage and ground and took about 2 inches of dirt up (my pens are open bottom) and bleached the ground all around the pen... I think I'll leave if vacant for a week before I add anything...
