I think I am doing a staggered hatch, as I put 8 eggs in the incubator 3 days after I set the first 8. I put them all into lockdown at the same time, even if that may be risky. I'm hoping I'm just going to have an extended lockdown, if that makes sense.

It's the first time I've used the Reptipro5000.

I think I've looked at the pipped egg about forty bazillion times already, through the window/door.

Well I'm almost certain that Cora is a ROOSTER!

I was taking a stuffed animal out of their brooder and he starts attacking it - s/he was all fluffed up like the roosters do and ..ugh!

Just moved the silkie hatch to the brooder ...It was 12/13 Needed to rush to get them in the brooder., so hubby says 13, I say 12, I'll count them in the morning. I might try to count in the picture I made....Left a few in the incubator....Today is day 22, there might be a few more that will make it through....
I'm exhausted! It was a great hatch! Will post pic tomorrow!

"His"/"Hers" mother is named Coral - thus I named the chick Cora....if it turns out to be a rooster I'll name him Carle!
