Nice to know I am not the only one. I just don't believe in telling by sight on them. I have had times I swear I have a roo and then it lays an egg, or other times I swear it's a pullet and it crows. All of the people who can tell when they are days old are way better at it then me. It would kill me to give away a pullet.

So, I am to check with you before selling the Spitz, the Lavender, any others? Geese? Kidding!

I suppose there will come a time when all the birds need to go, when I move, but until then...

I am having a blast!

I can't wait till Saturday! I'll be going to a chicken show in Fresno and I'll get to see a whole bunch of beautiful chickens and there's a chance I will be able to pick one up! Not for me, though. For a friend of a friend (

) who has a single chicken that needs a friend. On Thursday I'll know for sure whether or not they want me to pick up another pullet.

So, as per my post this morning, I went to pick up 7 chicks and came home with 10!!! Not sure quite how that happened, but I wanted 1 of each color (collect them all, La La La)! I really hope they are all pullets, she said she ordered assorted pullets!

So here is a picture inside the "Cheeping box of Happiness"!

The only one I know for sure is the black chick with a white spot on its head and has a rose comb, is a Dominique.

The other 9, who knows?

There is one that really looks like a dalmation!

Any guesses as to the others?

oohhhh I love the one with lots of white on it's head. Is that the dalmation one?? I think they are all so different, I have no idea what they are. But the variety is too cool! I guess you will have to look up lots of chick identification pics! I will work on it too later if I get bored.

It is supposed to get up in the 50's today! I may just have to break out the shorts! The snow banks on the sides of the road are taller than me...I am so excited to see them melt away. C'mon springtime!!!!!
