I SO need inside brooder space. Weather turning nasty again and I think that ginormous brooder in the shed is best for warmer weather brooding (due to drafts). So all the chicks are inside and Muggsmagee's GrandChicks are growing so fast... I just don't want to put TJs chicks, Hamburgs and porcelain D'Uccle outs yet! But I could sure use their larger brooders.
I feel like we have our very own animal house here in CNY. The pot belly piglet (Willie), the holland lop bunny (Brutus), the cat (Fiona) and the 4 dogs are playing their own version of tag inside!
It is mayhem in my house! Albeit hilarious and very simple entertainment for the night.
On top of it all...I've got more chicks pipping on day 20! Whoop-whoop!
Hi all!! All my chickie babies are doing well.. I have to get a saddle for my b*tchy SLW hen as my gigantic roo decided he likes her best.. Serves her right for trying to bite me..
I think I'll hatch again in a few weeks - another byc member that's nearby will have some eggies for me and maybe mugs will too.
And I'll throw in a few mutt eggs for good measure. Then after that I need to find those turken eggs.. and hatch out some keets for more entertainment.. /sigh.
Out of my 13 three week old OE babies, two are definite roos (pink combs already!), one is 80% and the rest all have pea combs and are too close to call. Would be nice to get 10 pullets but not holding my breath.

Hi featherz!!! I am swimming in so many eggs, I am actually throwing them away!
Please, let me know when you are ready for some, we don't eat them fast enough. This next month I will be down 2 bators, so unless I get that Brinsea I'm drooling over, we'll have even more eggs to toss!
