I have great respect for those who raise, butcher and eat their own meat, but I just can't do it (yet)!

I hope for a more self-sufficient approach to "farming" in the future, but for now, my birds are my pets.

I wanna bust in here this morning (it is still morning in Calif) with a rave for the Brinsea EcoGlow brooder heater! I wish I'd had one or more of these a long time ago.

I started using one last night with 3 new hatchlings - more to come as more hatch - and they love it.

Is this just a warmer or does it provide light as well? It says it works for up to 20 chicks - looks kind of small for that. Can you tell me a bit more about it?
