SO....I have the bug BAD...I started with 6 mature hens that were destined for the soup pot - 2 Buff Orps, 2 Black Stars and two RIRs....

Ophelia got taken out by a 'coon.

I needed to replace her, so I brought home 2 spalsh Orps, one blue Orp, one lav Orp and one black Orp roo...

I lost Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, so I have arrangements in the works to buy a calico/mille fleur type Cochin bantam roo! I think he would make a nice cross with my spalsh Orps to see what colors come out!

My question,though, is...will my two roos get along? I know it is an individual thing, but I guess I want to know if they EVER get along, or does the testosterone get in the way???

Sooo...6-10 hens per roo...so are you telling me that I need to add 4 more hens???

Sorry girls I can't post pics of the new keets yet, cause IdealisticRoo has my babies at this moment!! Maybe he will get on here and post some pics. I am going to try and go visit them today so maybe I can get some pics.
