Wow, is there an animal you DON'T have?

Growing up, my dream was to own a zoo or be a veterinarian. I just love animals and the uniqueness of personalities and entertainment they provide. So I guess this is just a bipass to my childhood dream. I want to expand my farm into mini horses, mini goats, and maybe some mini babydoll sheep. We'll see.

I'm certainly in denial about having a problem, but my x-husband keeps telling me I MUST stop adding chickens. I love my chickens

..they are sweet and sensitive, and the hens are exceptional mothers. I respect that in a chicken. They are funny too, and I love their feet..when they're clean. I love my rooster Phinny - he has some spurs that could do considerable damage, and he has never shown a single aggressive movement toward me...he's huge, gentle, and majestic. Gotcha is a huge, fat Dark Brahma - ohhhhh my little darlin' Gotcha. She refuses to move away from my legs when I'm raking the pen. I have to pick her up and love her for a few minutes, or she will just not get out of the way! I love the way they run - cracks me up and seems so - can't think of the word - maybe, vulnerable? They look like toddlers when they run. I hide in the henhouse and kiss the Silkies on top of their fuzzy little heads. I whistle to them every evening and talk to them all the time. When I lose one of my babies, I cry - my heart breaks. I could never forget any of them and I'm just going to keep on loving them. I could never tell anyone these things, except for people here in the BYC Forum. You understand.

Well count me in as the triplet, ya'll. I have had just about every animal you can own legally. I'm down to tropical fish, a persian cat, 3 Cockatoos, 1 Eclectus, 14 Finches, and about 25 Silkie "African Ground Parrots" (Tee Hee!) and holding. I do fine interacting with my own species, but I do even better with animals of all kinds. We just have an understanding. I should have been a zoo keeper. Oh wait, maybe I am! HA! One of my favorites was the mini goats I had years ago. One of the sweetest animals on earth!

By the way have you ever seen White miniature deer? I saw a small herd of them at a peacock breeder's farm once. They were stunning!
I've been looking longingly at emu recently. OMG, what am I thinking?????!!!! Somebody save me from myself!
