Been quiet around here lately..

I decided to cancel my hatchery order. I'll buy eggs for hatching that week instead (mar 14-19). I want turkens and jersey giants.. and a blue egg layer or two.. Now that's not asking for too much, right? LOL.. Plus I'll throw in some mutt eggs from Puff Daddy (cochin x?) and my various girls just to see what happens.

I canceled it because it's still too cold here and I can't risk it being too cold next month and losing them all. I'll just deal with the fun of rehoming roos.

Well tomorrow is day 18 for my Seramas. I'm hopeing they hatch tomorrow, but they may hatch Wednesday, who knows?

Yup mugs is the "eggannista" We all would emulate her but we cannot!!!

So I'm sticking to my name, LOL, get a bargain with bargain's eggs, affordable wonderful eggs....Just search in every section of BST for a bargain, we're almost always there or will be back shortly!!!!

Seriously Muggs, I should have accepted a trade for lo's with la's .......Now that you are world famous,,,,,mmmm, I dunno if you'll still talk with me sigh.....

Methinks she's away signing contracts, developing infomercials on "You too can make over $200 selling chicken eggs",,,, or I made $5000 a month just following my hobby" Yeah she's working with an agent already.....I fear we have lost Muggs y'all..... Hey Muggs you want me to be your agent, When I'm not being informal, I write really well. I used to get grants for people in the thousands from federal, state, local sources.....Now that was a while ago, but I'll be glad to work for you! You ready to go full time with this????

Love ya ....Now I'm trying to head to church if possible 45 minutes to go, 44 minutes of chores, I can do it and sit on the back row or lean my head on the door of the vestibule....I need a 100% farmer church where everyone understands how I must always look! Farmer Nancy, works at a place where the work is never done!​

Did I tell ya'll I cancelled my Hat Trick Silkie order? I've decided to sell most of my silkies and focus on Ameraucanas, Marans, Orpingtons, and Welsummers (I need more Welsummers). Plus my layers of OE's and EE's. This year should be FUN. I think I will have the most colorful egg basket ever! Which is my goal!

You are such a goose! That auction was just insane.

I contacted my local paper and asked if I could write a "human" interest story on raising chickens, and I was given the proverbial green light! The editor sent an email back and said it could be a series or possibly a column. I am so stoked!

I hope to get a chuckle or two out of my initial article and get more people raising chickens.

See, you heard it from me first Mugs IS "leaving" for that golden filled road of fame and fortune......Ha!!! I am glad for you .....about the newspaper....Right on, Oops write on!!!! Sometimes I just crack myself up.....LOL...

I love to see articles promoting living with poultry, veggies in your back yard... Then we can be writing buds.....I have 2 published and paid for articles... I need to do more....But who will tend the farm...LOL... It was mag articles...The ones I've done for our local newspapers don't pay ....

but that's okay... Sometimes it's a way to educate and help others!
