I love to see articles promoting living with poultry, veggies in your back yard... Then we can be writing buds.....I have 2 published and paid for articles... I need to do more....But who will tend the farm...LOL... It was mag articles...The ones I've done for our local newspapers don't pay ....

but that's okay... Sometimes it's a way to educate and help others!

Congratulations! I wish there were more articles on that. I'd sure read the paper!

Just scored at the Goodwill Store with a chicken windchime for $3.99. This ain't a great picture, but I can explain: homemade, flat, clay baked shapes of a hen, with little chicks hanging below her.

I went to get a chest of drawers I'd seen Friday, to make a new, upright brooder for the bathroom and get rid of the Rubbermaid bins... but it was sold. Fooey. At least I got the Chicken Windchime!

My husband converted a bookshelf for me for a duck brooder. It worked well! It was missing the shelves. If you have a habitat for humanity store, you might be able to find one there too!

Good job Nancy! I hopefully will garner interest in chickens...and a few chuckles. Those are my goals.
